حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ أَهَلَّ فِي ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ

وَأَنَّهُ قَمِلَ رَأْسُهُ فَأَتَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُوقِدُ تَحْتَ قِدْرٍ لَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ «كَأَنَّكَ» يُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ؟ قَالَ أَجَلْ قَالَ «احْلِقْ وَاهْدِ هَدْيًا» قَالَ مَا أَجِدُ هَدْيًا قَالَ «فَأَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ» قَالَ مَا أَجِدُ قَالَ «فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ» فَحَلَقْتُ وَصُمْتُ

✧ His head became infested with lice, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to him while he was kindling a fire under a pot of his. He said to him: "It seems that the vermin of your head are bothering you?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Shave, and offer a sacrificial animal." He said: "I cannot find a sacrificial animal." He said: "Then feed six poor persons." He said: "I cannot find [the means]." He said: "Then fast three days." So I shaved and fasted.
