حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ شَيْبَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَمِيرَةُ بِنْتُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهَا عَنْ كَعْبٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ وَصِرْنَا إِلَى الشِّعْبِ كُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ عَرَفَهُ فَقُلْتُ هَذَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَشَارَ إِلَيَّ بِيَدِهِ أَنِ اسْكُتْ ثُمَّ أَلْبَسَنِي لَأْمَتَهُ وَلَبِسَ لَأْمَتِي فَلَقَدْ ضُرِبْتُ حَتَّى جُرِحْتُ عِشْرِينَ أَوْ قَالَ «بِضْعَةَ عَشَرَ جُرْحًا كُلُّ مَنْ يَضْرِبُنِي يَحْسِبُنِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ»

✧ When the day of Uhud came and we reached the mountain pass, I was the first to recognize him. I said, 'This is the Messenger of God ﷺ.' He gestured to me with his hand to be silent. Then he put his armor on me and wore my armor. I was struck until I received twenty or he said 'some ten odd wounds,' everyone who struck me thought I was the Messenger of God ﷺ.
