حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمَّارٍ الدُّهْنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي شُعْبَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ يَعْرِضُ عَلَيْهِ نَفَقَةً فَقَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ «عِنْدَنَا أَعْنُزُ نَحْتَلِبُها وَحُمُرٌ تَنْقُلُ ومُحَرَّرَةٌ تَخْدُمُنا وَفَضْلُ عَبَاءَةٍ عَنْ كِسْوَتِنا إِنِّي لَأَخَافُ أَنْ أُحَاسَبَ عَلَى الْفَضْلِ»

✧ A man came to Abu Dharr offering him a gift. Abu Dharr said: "We have goats we milk, donkeys that carry, a freedwoman who serves us, and a spare cloak beyond our clothing. I fear being held accountable for the surplus."
