حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا أَبِي ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ إِنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَنْتَظِرُونَ أَمْرَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ حُنَيْنٍ قَاتَلَ فَأَبْلَى فَأَخْبَرُوا بِذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ» قَالَ فَجُرِحَ الرَّجُلُ فَأَخَذَ سَهْمًا مِنْ كِنَانَتِهِ فَنَحَرَ نَفْسَهُ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ صَدَقَ اللهُ حَدِيثَكَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قُمْ يَا بِلَالُ فَنَادِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ وَأَنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَيُؤَيِّدُ الدِّينَ بِالرَّجُلِ الْفَاجِرِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said about a man, “He is from the people of the Fire.” People kept waiting to see what would happen to him until the day of Hunayn, when he fought and displayed great valor. They informed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of that, and he said, “He is from the people of the Fire.” Then the man was wounded, and he took an arrow from his quiver and slit his own throat. They said, “O Messenger of Allah, Allah has confirmed your words.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Arise, Bilal, and announce that none enters Paradise except a believer, and that Allah ﷻ may support this religion even through a wicked man.”
