حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَتَادَةَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ

«كُنْتُ نَصْبَ وَجْهِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَقِي وَجْهَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِوَجْهِي وَكَانَ أَبُو دُجَانَةَ سِمَاكُ بْنُ خَرَشَةَ مُوقِيًا لِظَهْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِظَهْرِهِ حَتَّى امْتَلَأَ ظَهْرُهُ سِهَامًا وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ»

✧ "On the day of Uhud, I stood facing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, shielding the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with my face. Abū Dujānah Simāk b. Kharashah shielded the back of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with his back until his back was filled with arrows. That was on the day of Uhud."
