حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَا ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الحِنَّائِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو
وَعَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ مُخَارِقٍ الْهِلَالِيِّ قَالَا لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ {وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ} انْطَلَقَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى رَخْمَةٍ مِنْ جَبَلٍ فَعَلَا أَعْلَاهَا حَجَرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ إِنِّي نَذِيرٌ إِنَّمَا مَثَلِي وَمَثَلُكُم كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ رَأَى الْعَدُوَّ فَانْطَلَقَ يَرْبَأُ أَهْلَهُ فَخَشِيَ أَنْ يَسْبِقُوهُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَجَعَلَ يَهْتِفُ يَا صَاحِبَاهُ يَا صَاحِبَاهُ أُتِيْتُمْ أُتِيْتُمْ

✧ And from Qabīṣah b. Mukhāriq al-Hilālī, they both said: When this verse was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ: “And warn your closest kindred,” the Prophet of God ﷺ went to a rock on a mountain and climbed onto its highest stone, then said: “O Banū ʿAbd Manāf, I am a warner. My likeness and yours is only that of a man who saw the enemy and went to warn his family, fearing that they would be taken before he reached them, so he began shouting: ‘O my companions, O my companions, you have been attacked, you have been attacked.’”
