حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَلُولٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ ثنا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَانِي

عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْجَنْبِيِّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا يَدْعُو فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَمْ يُمَجِّدْ رَبَّهُ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى نَبِيِّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَجِلَ هَذَا إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِتَمْجِيدِ رَبِّهِ وَالثَّنَاءِ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ لِيُصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ ثُمَّ لِيَدْعُ بِمَا شَاءَ»

✧ From Abu 'Ali al-Janbi, from Fadalah b. 'Ubayd, who said: The Prophet ﷺ heard a man supplicating in his prayer while he had not glorified his Lord nor invoked blessings upon his Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet ﷺ said, “This one has been hasty. When one of you prays, let him begin by glorifying his Lord and extolling Him, then let him invoke blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, then let him ask for whatever he wishes.”
