حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَادُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ السِّمْسَارُ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ قَالَا ثنا سِكِّينُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَانَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ الْفَتَى يُلَاحِظُ النِّسَاءَ وَيَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِنَّ وَيَجْعَلُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصْرِفُ وَجْهَهُ بِيَدِهِ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَجَعَلَ الْفَتَى يُلَاحِظُ النِّسَاءَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيِ ابْنَ أَخٍ إِنَّ هَذَا يَوْمٌ مَنْ مَلَكَ فِيهِ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ وَلِسَانَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ»

✧ Al-Fadl b. al-‘Abbas was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ. The young man began glancing at the women and looking at them, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept turning his face away with his hand from behind him. The young man kept glancing at the women, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: “O son of my brother, this is a day on which whoever controls his hearing, his sight, and his tongue will be forgiven.”
