حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْحَنَفِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَكَ اللهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ فَقَالَهَا فِي مَجْلِسِ ذِكْرٍ كَانَ كالطَّابَعُ يُطْبَعُ عَلَيْهِ وَمَنْ قَالَهَا فِي مَجْلِسِ لَغْوٍ كَانَتْ كَفَّارَةً لَهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Whoever says, ‘Glory be to Allah and with His praise. Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You,’ and says it in a gathering of remembrance, it is like a seal stamped upon it; and whoever says it in a gathering of idle talk, it becomes an expiation for him.”
