✧ The genealogy of Ali b. Abi Talib "who participated in the Battle of Badr, son of Abd al-Muttalib b. Hashim, son of Abd Manaf b. Qusayy, son of Kilab b. Murrah, son of Ka'b b. Lu'ayy, son of Ghalib b. Fihr, son of Malik, with the kunya of Abu al-Hasan".

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الصَّقْرِ السُّكَّرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ عَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ قَالَ
يُقَالُ «كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ آدَمَ رَبْعَةً مُسْمِنًا ضَخْمَ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ طَوِيلَ اللِّحْيَةِ أَصْلَعَ عَظِيمَ الْبَطْنِ غَلِيظَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ أَبْيَضَ الرَّأْسِ وَاللِّحْيَةِ»
