حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ وَكَانَ عِرْبَاضٌ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ
خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَوَعَظَ النَّاسَ وَرَغَّبَهُمْ وَحَذَّرَهُمْ وَقَالَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ وَقَالَ «اعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكُوا بِهِ شَيْئًا وَأَطِيعُوا مَنْ وَلَّاهُ اللهُ أَمْرَكُمْ وَلَا تُنَازِعُوا الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَبْدًا أَسْوَدَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا تَعْرِفُونَ مِنْ سُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكُمْ وَالْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِينَ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ وَعَضُّوا عَلَيْهَا بِالنَّوَاجِذِ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came out to us and admonished the people, encouraged them, and warned them, and said what God willed to be. He said: “Worship God and do not associate anything with Him. Obey those whom God has placed in authority over you, and do not dispute authority with its people, even if he is a black slave. Hold fast to what you know of the Sunnah of your Prophet and the rightly guided, divinely guided caliphs, and bite onto it with the molar teeth.”
