حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِحْدَى صَلَاتِي الْعَشِيِّ إِمَّا الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ قَالَ «أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى؟» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا قَالَ «قَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا خَالَجَنِيهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in one of the two evening prayers, either Zuhr or Asr, and said, “Which of you recited ‘Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High’?” A man said, “I did.” He said, “I knew that a man was contending with me over it.”
