حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَارُودِيُّ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَحَجَجْتُ مَعَهُ فَكَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي إِلَّا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ فَأَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ لَيْلَةً يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَيَقُولُ «أَتِمُّوا الصَّلَاةَ يَا أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ فَإِنَّا سَفْرٌ»

✧ I raided with the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he did not pray except two rak'ahs until he returned to Madinah. I performed Hajj with him, and he did not pray except two rak'ahs until he returned. He stayed in Makkah for eighteen nights praying two rak'ahs and saying: "Complete the prayer, O people of Makkah, for we are travelers."
