حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا بَلَغَهُ وَفَاةُ النَّجَاشِيِّ قَالَ «إِنَّ أَخَاكُمُ النَّجَاشِيُّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ» فَقَامَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَالنَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ

✧ That when the death of the Negus reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said, “Your brother the Negus has died, so pray over him.” He stood and prayed over him with the people behind him.
