حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ثنا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ
أَنَّ نَاقَةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فُقِدَتْ وَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ تُرِيدُ أَنْ تَنْحَرَهَا فَقَالُوا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَذَرْتُ أَنْ أَنْحَرَهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَيْسَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ نَذْرٌ فِيمَا لَا يَمْلِكُ»

✧ That the she-camel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was lost, and there was a woman who wanted to slaughter it. They told the Prophet ﷺ, and she said, “I had vowed to slaughter it.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “No one is bound by a vow concerning what he does not own.”
