حَدَّثَنَا أَسْلَمُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ ثنا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَجُلٍ حَلْقَةً مِنْ صُفَرٍ فَقَالَ «مَا هَذِهِ؟» قَالَ «مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ» قَالَ «أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكَ إِلَّا وَهْنًا وَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مُتَّ وَأَنْتَ تَرَى أَنَّهَا تَنْفَعُكَ لَمِتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْفِطْرَةِ»

✧ He saw on a man's hand a ring of brass. He said, 'What is this?' He said, 'For the weakening pain.' He said, 'Indeed, it does not increase you except in weakness. If you were to die while thinking that it benefits you, you would die upon other than the natural disposition.'
