حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عِيسَى الْجَزَرِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا صُهَيْبُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ
أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَعْتَقَ رُءُوسًا سِتَّةً عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَمْلِكَ غَيْرَهَمْ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «فَدَعَاهُمْ فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَجَازَ اثْنَيْنِ وَرَدَّ أَرْبَعَةً فِي الرِّقِّ»

✧ A man from the Ansar freed six heads at his death, and he did not own any others. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, so he called them and cast lots among them; he allowed two and returned four to slavery.
