حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ثنا أَشْعَثُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةً مِنَ الرَّقِيقِ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Aḥmad b. Zuhayr

✧ A man freed six of his slaves at the time of his death, and he had no property other than them. The Prophet ﷺ drew lots among them and freed two and re-enslaved four.
