حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيِّ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عَشْرٌ» ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «عِشْرُونَ» ثُمَّ جَاءَ آخَرُ فَقَالَ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ «ثَلَاثُونَ»

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “Al-salāmu ʿalaykum.” He returned the greeting, and the man sat down. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Ten.” Then another came and said, “Al-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatu Llāh.” He returned the greeting, and the man sat down. The Prophet ﷺ said, “Twenty.” Then another came and said, “Al-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatu Llāh wa barakātuh.” He returned the greeting and said, “Thirty.”
