حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا الصَّبَّاحُ بْنُ مُحَارِبٍ ثنا أَبُو حَمَّادٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِابْنٍ لِي فَقَالَ «مَا اسْمُهُ؟» فَقُلْتُ فُلَانٌ قَالَ بَلْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ
Translation

✧ I brought my son to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "What is his name?" I said: "So-and-so." He said: "Rather, Abd al-Rahman."
