حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَسِتَّةُ نَفَرٍ أَوْ سَبْعَةُ نَفَرٍ أَوْ ثَمَانِيَةٌ فَقَالَ «بَايِعُونِي» فَبَايَعْنَاهُ فَأَخَذَ عَلَيْنَا مَا أَخَذَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَ ذَلِكَ بِكَلِمَةٍ خَفِيفَةٍ فَقَالَ «لَا تَسْأَلُوا النَّاسَ شَيْئًا»

✧ I entered upon the Prophet ﷺ with six or seven or eight men. He said: "Give me your pledge." We pledged to him, and he took from us what he took from the women. Then he followed that with a light word and said: "Do not ask people for anything."
