حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَأَنَا أَحْمَدُ وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يُمْحَى بِيَ الْكُفْرُ وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ» وَالْعَاقِبُ الَّذِي لَيْسَ بَعْدَهُ أَحَدٌ وَقَدْ سَمَّاهُ اللهُ رَءُوفًا رَحِيمًا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “I have names: I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am al-Māḥī, the one by whom disbelief is effaced, I am al-Ḥāshir, the one at whose feet people will be gathered, and I am al-ʿĀqib.” And al-ʿĀqib is the one after whom there is no one, and God has named him Kind and Merciful.
