✧ I came to the Messenger of God ﷺ during the expedition of Tabuk in the last part of the night while he was in his tent. I greeted him and said, “May I enter?” He said: “Enter.” I said, “All of me?” He said: “All of you.” Then he said: “There are six things before the Hour. The first is the death of your Prophet ﷺ—say one.” I said, “One.” “The second is the conquest of Jerusalem—say two.” I said, “Two.” He said: “The third is a pestilence that will seize you like the quʿāṣ of sheep—say three.” I said, “Three.” He said: “The fourth is that wealth will overflow among you, so much that a man will be given a hundred dinars and remain displeased with them—say four.” “And the fifth is a tribulation that will occur among you, and no house of mud or hair will remain among you but it will enter it—say five.” I said, “Five.” “And the sixth is a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar. They will gather against you with the force of a pregnant woman, then they will betray you and advance in eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand.”
