حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى شِيرَانُ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ عَنْ عَائِذِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَى بِقَدَحٍ أَوْ بِعُسٍّ وَفِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ فَتَوَضَّأَ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ بِهِ فَرَشَّ عَلَيْهِمْ» أَوْ قَالَ نَضَحَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ وَالسَّعِيدُ فِي أَنْفُسِنَا مَنْ أَصَابَهُ قَالَ وَأُرَاهُ قَدْ أَصَابَهُمْ كُلُّهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى

✧ That the Messenger of God ﷺ was brought a cup or a large wooden bowl, and there was little water in it. He performed ablution with it, then ordered it, and he sprinkled it on them – or he said: he sprinkled it on them. He said: The fortunate among us was the one whom it reached. He said: I think it reached all of them. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ stood and prayed the forenoon prayer with them.
