حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ فَهْمٍ ثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ
عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ عَقِبٌ وَكَانَ قَدْ خَرَجَ هَارِبًا يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ حَتَّى اسْتَأْذَنَتْ لَهُ زَوْجَتُهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهِيَ أُمُّ حَكِيمِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ فَأَمَّنَهُ فَأَدْرَكَتْهُ بِالْيَمَنِ فَرَدَّتْهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قَامَ إِلَيْهِ فَاعْتَنَقَهُ وَقَالَ «مَرْحَبًا بِالرَّاكِبِ الْمُهَاجِرِ»
Translation

✧ ʿIkrimah b. Abī Jahl b. Hishām, and he had no offspring. He had fled on the Day of the Conquest, until his wife asked the Prophet ﷺ for safe-conduct for him—she was Umm Ḥakīm bt. al-Ḥārith b. Hishām—and he granted him safety. She caught up with him in Yemen and brought him back to the Prophet ﷺ. When the Prophet ﷺ saw him, he stood up, embraced him, and said: "Welcome to the emigrant rider."
