✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The most severely punished of people on the Day of Resurrection will be those who were the most severe in punishing people in this world." 'Iyad said to him: "O Hisham, we have heard what you heard, seen what you saw, and accompanied those you accompanied. Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever has sincere advice for a ruler, let him not speak it to him publicly, but let him take him by the hand and be alone with him. If he accepts it, he accepts it; otherwise he has fulfilled what was owed by him and upon him.' And you, O Hisham, are the very one who dares to challenge the authority of Allah. Why did you not fear that the authority of Allah might kill you, and you would become a victim of the authority of Allah?"
