حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ نَائِلَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِِ
أَنَّ عِيَاضَ بْنَ حِمَارٍ جَاءَ بِنَاقَةٍ وَرَاحِلَةٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَهْدَاهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «قُدْهَا» فَقَادَهَا فَنَادَاهُ نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عِيَاضُ بْنَ حِمَارٍ أَسْلَمْتَ؟» فَقَالَ لَا قَالَ «دُونَكَ نَاقَتَكَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ حَرَّمَ عَلَيْنَا زَبْدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»

✧ Iyaḍ b. Himar came with a she-camel and a riding camel to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a gift. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Lead it." He led it. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ called him: "O Iyaḍ b. Himar, have you embraced Islam?" He said, "No." He said, "Take your she-camel, for Allah has forbidden to us the gifts of the polytheists."
