حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَوْ كَانَ مُطْعِمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ حَيًّا ثُمَّ كَلَّمَنِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى أَوْ فِي هَؤُلَاءِ الْأُسَارَى لَأَطْلَقْتُهُمْ يَعْنِي أُسَارَى بَدْرٍ»

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: “If Mut'im b. 'Adiyy were alive and then spoke to me concerning these foul ones—or concerning these captives—I would have released them,” meaning the captives of Badr.
