حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ ثَنَا نُعَيْمٌ ثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مُلَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ فَقَالَ إِنِّي
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيَقْرَأَنَّ الْقُرْآنَ رِجَالٌ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Men will recite the Quran but it will not go beyond their collarbones; they will pass out of the religion as an arrow passes through its game.”
