حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانُ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الرُّعَيْنِيُّ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ هِنْدٍ الْحَجْرِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ
عَنْ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى سُبَيْعَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّةَ تَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهَا فَقَالَ «مَا لَهَا تَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهَا؟» قَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ فِي يَمِينِي قُرْحَةٌ قَالَ لَهَا «وَإِنْ مَوْتَ بَقَرَةٍ فَأَخَذَهَا طَاعُونٌ فَقَتَلَهَا»

✧ From the Prophet of Allah ﷺ: He saw Subayʿah al-Aslamiyyah eating with her left hand and said: “What is the matter with her that she eats with her left hand?” She said: “O Prophet of Allah, there is a sore on my right hand.” He said to her: “Even if it were a cow’s death?” Then the plague seized her and killed her.
