حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ الْعُمَانِيُّ ثنا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الرَّبْعِيِّ الْمِصْرِيِّ ثنا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ أَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ الْعِشَاءَ أَوِ الْمَغْرِبَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ وَقَدْ خَرَجَ صَوْتُهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ {إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ} فَكَأَنَّمَا صُدِعَ عَنْ قَلْبِي

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was praying with his companions the Isha or Maghrib prayer, and I heard him reciting, his voice coming out of the mosque: "Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur; of it there is no repeller" (Q 52:7-8), and it was as if my heart was cracked open.
