حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَسْفَاطِيُّ ثَنَا هُرَيْمُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ
أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَحُجُّ عَنْ أُمِّي وَقَدْ مَاتَتْ؟ قَالَ «أَرَأَيْتِ إنْ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّكِ دَيْنٌ فَقَضَيْتِهِ أَلَيْسَ كَانَ مَقْبُولًا مِنْكِ؟» قَالَتْ بَلَى «فَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَحُجَّ عَنْهَا» وَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَقَالَتْ أَحُجُّ بِابْنِي وَهُوَ مُرْضَعٌ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, shall I perform Hajj on behalf of my mother who has died?” He said, “Do you not think that if your mother owed a debt and you paid it, it would be accepted from you?” She said, “Yes.” So he commanded her to perform Hajj on her behalf. Then a woman came and said, “Shall I take my infant son with me for Hajj?” He said, “Yes.”
