حَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْعُتْبِيُّ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا عَلَى كَرَاسِيِّ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَمَعَهُمْ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَدَعَاهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ لِصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ فَأَمَّنِي قَبْلَ أنْ نُصَلِّيَهَا فَلَمَّا رَجَعُوا قَالَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ هَلْ شَعَرْتَ
أنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى مَعَهُ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مَا تَقُولُ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ أَخْبَرَنِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ نَزَلَ عَلَيَّ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي الْهَاجِرَةَ حِينَ تَزِيغُ الشَّمْسُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا فِي شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ وَالْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ بَيْضَاءُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ يَسِيرُ الرَّجُلُ حَتَّى يَنْصَرِفَ مِنْهَا إِلَى ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ سِتَّةَ أَمْيَالٍ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ إِذَا وَجَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ إِذَا اسْوَدَّ الْأُفُقُ وَيُصَلِّي الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّاهَا يَوْمًا فَأَسْفَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ لَمْ يَعُدْ إِلَى الْإِسْفَارِ حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي صَالِحٍ

✧ Jibril ﷺ descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and prayed with him, and informed him of the time of the prayer. 'Umar said: What do you say, O 'Abdullah? 'Urwah said at that: Bashir b. Abi Mas'ud al-Ansari informed me from Abu Mas'ud that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Jibril ﷺ descended upon me, and I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. Then I prayed with him. I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying the noonday prayer when the sun begins to decline, and sometimes he would delay it in intense heat. And the 'Asr prayer while the sun was white and high, a man could travel from it until he returned from it to Dhu al-Hulayfah, six miles before sunset. And he would pray Maghrib when the sun had set, and pray 'Isha' when the horizon had become dark, and pray Subh in the darkness before dawn. Then one day he prayed it and it became bright, then he did not return to brightness until Allah took him. And the wording is that of Abu Salih.
