حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ نَجْدَةَ الْحَوْطِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَلَقَّتْ رَوْحَ رَجُلٍ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَقَالُوا لَهُ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ خَيْرًا قَطُّ؟ قَالَ لَا إلَّا أَنِّي كُنْتُ أُدَايِنُ النَّاسَ فَكُنْتُ آمُرُ فِتْيَانِي أَنْ يُنْظِرُوا الْمُوسِرَ وَيَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنِ الْمُعْسِرِ فَقَالَ اللهُ ﷻ تَجَاوَزُوا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'The angels received the soul of a man who was before you. They said to him, "Have you ever done any good?" He said, "No, except that I used to lend money to people, and I would instruct my servants to give respite to the wealthy and to overlook the one in hardship." God, glorified and exalted be He, said, "Overlook [his shortcomings]."'
