حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلَطِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ الضَّبِّيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُلَيْكِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ؓ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عُفَيْرُ بْنُ أَبِي عُفَيْرٍ كَيْفَ سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي الْوُدِّ؟ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْوُدُّ يُتَوَارَثُ وَالْبُغْضُ يُتَوَارَثُ»

✧ Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ said to a man from the Arabs called ʿUfayr b. Abi ʿUfayr: How did you hear the Messenger of God ﷺ speak about love? He said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say, “Love is inherited, and hatred is inherited.”
