وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ عِصْمَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ مَمْلُوكٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ مَوْلَايَ زَوَّجَنِي وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ امْرَأَتِي قَالَ فَصَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمِنْبَرَ فَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا الطَّلَاقُ بِيَدِ مَنْ أَخَذَ السَّاقَ»
Translation

✧ A slave came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of God, my master married me off and now wants to separate me and my wife.” He said: The Messenger of God ﷺ ascended the pulpit and said: “O people, divorce is only in the hand of the one who takes the calf.”
