حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ الْحَدَثِيُّ ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ البَلْويِّ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْبَدَّاحِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ
اشْتَرَيْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ سِهَامِ خَيْبَرَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا عَاصِمُ مَا ذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ أَصَابَا غَنَمًا أضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَرْءِ الْمَالَ وَالشَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ»

✧ I and my brother bought a hundred shares from the shares of Khaybar. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, "O 'Asim, two hungry wolves that attack a flock whose owner has neglected it are not more destructive to it than a person's love of wealth and status is to his religion."
