حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرُّزِّيُّ قَالَا ثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ أَنَا غَاضِرَةُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ الْفُقَيْمِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَدَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ وَالنَّاسُ مُنْتَظِرونَ الصَّلَاةَ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ يَقْطُرُ رَأْسُهُ مِن وُضُوءٍ تَوَضَّأَهُ أَو مِنْ غْسْلٍ اغْتَسَلَهُ فَصَلَّى بِنَا فَلَمَّا صَلَّيْنَا جَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَقُومُونَ إِلَيْه يَقُولُونَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ كَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَرَأَيْتَ كَذَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هَكَذَا يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إنَّ دِينَ اللهِ فِيهِ يُسْرٌ» ثَلَاثًا وَخَرَجْتُ مِن الْبَابِ فَانْطَلَقْتُ

✧ I came to Madinah and entered the mosque while the people were waiting for the prayer. A man came out to us with his head dripping from the ablution he had performed or from a bath he had taken. He led us in prayer. When we had prayed, the people began going to him saying, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about such-and-such? O Messenger of Allah, what do you think about such-and-such?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Thus, O people: indeed the religion of Allah is ease,” three times. Then I went out from the door and departed.
