حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ ثَنَا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ السُّلَمِيُّ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ عُمَيْرَةَ الْكِنْدِيِّ عَنِ الْعُرْسِ بْنِ عُمَيْرَةَ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إنَّ اللهَ لَا يُعَذِّبُ الْعَامَّةَ بِعَمَلِ الْخَاصَّةِ حَتَّى تَعْمَلَ الْخَاصَّةُ بِعَمَلٍ تَقْدِرُ الْعَامَّةُ أَنْ تُغَيِّرَهُ وَلَا تُغَيِّرُهُ فَذَاك حِينَ يَأْذَنُ اللهُ فِي هَلَاكِ الْعَامَّةِ والخاصةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah does not punish the common people for the deeds of the elite until the elite do an act that the common people are able to change but do not change. Then Allah permits the destruction of both the common and the elite.”
