✧ "I have nothing with me to give you, but I have a coat of mail in Kufa, and it is yours." The Bedouin was dissatisfied with it, so he swore not to give it. Then he said, "I only came to ask you for a servant to help me." 'Adi said, "I ordered my coat of mail for you, and by Allah, it is dearer to me than three slaves." The Bedouin became pleased with it and said, "I accept your kindness." 'Adi said, "Had I not heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever swears an oath and then sees something better, let him do what is better,' I would not have given it to you."
