✧ His grandfather 'Umayr b. Habib b. Khumasha had companionship and pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ at his maturity. He advised his children, saying: 'Beware of sitting with fools, for sitting with them is a disease. Whoever shows forbearance toward a fool is pleased with his forbearance; whoever loves him will regret; whoever does not acknowledge the little of what a fool brings will be forced to acknowledge much; whoever is patient with what he dislikes will attain what he loves. If one of you wants to command good or forbid evil, let him prepare himself to be patient with harm and trust in the reward from Allah, exalted be He. For whoever trusts in the reward from Allah will not feel the pain of harm.'
