حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ الْمَكِّيُّ
ثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي مِنْ أَعْمَالٍ ثَلَاثَةٍ» قَالُوا مَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «زَلَّةُ الْعَالِمِ أَوْ حُكْمٌ جَائِرٌ أَوْ هَوًى مُتَّبَعٌ»

✧ Al-Qaʿnabi narrated to us: Kathir b. ʿAbd Allah narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, “I fear for my Ummah after me from three deeds.” They said, “What are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “The slip of a scholar, or a tyrannical judgment, or a followed whim.”
