حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سَبْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْحَكِيمِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ وَغَيْرُهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ ذِي الْمَرْوَةِ وَقُدَمَائِهِمْ عَنِ ابْنٍ لِعَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا مَرَّ بِالْحُلَيْمَةِ فِي سَفَرِهِ إِلَى تَبُوكَ قَالَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ الْمَنْزِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الظِّلُّ وَالْمَاءُ وَكَانَ فِيهَا دَوْمٌ وَمَاءٌ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا أَرْضُ زَرْعٍ وَبَقَرٍ دَعُوهَا فَإِنَّهَا مَأْمُورَةٌ» يَعْنِي نَاقَتَهُ فَأَقْبَلَتْ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ تَحْتَ الدَّوْمَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ ذِي الْمَرْوَةِ

✧ That the Messenger of God ﷺ, when he passed by al-Hulaymah on his journey to Tabuk, his companions said to him: The stopping place, O Messenger of God—shade and water. It had doom trees and water. He said: “It is a land of crops and cattle; leave it, for it is commanded,” meaning his she-camel. She went on until she knelt beneath the doom tree that was in the mosque of Dhu al-Marwah.
