حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ قَالَ
لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ {إِنَّكَ مَيِّتٌ وَإِنَّهُمْ مَيِّتُونَ ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ} قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَيُكَرَّرُ عَلَيْنَا مَا كَانَ بَيْنَنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ لَيُكَرَّرُ عَلَيْكُمْ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يِرَدَّ إِلَى كُلِّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ» قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ وَاللهِ إِنَّ الْأمْرَ لَشَدِيدٌ

✧ When {Indeed you are to die, and indeed they are to die; then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute} was revealed to the Messenger of God ﷺ, al-Zubayr said: "Will what occurred between us in this world be repeated for us?" He said: "Yes, it will be repeated for you until every rightful claimant is given his due." Al-Zubayr said: "By God, the matter is indeed grave."
