حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ كُنْتُ مُتَّخِذًا خَلِيلًا غَيْرَ رَبِّي لَاتَّخَذْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ خَلِيلًا وَلَكِنْ أَخِي وَصَاحِبِي فِي الْغَارِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said, “If I were to take an intimate friend other than my Lord, I would have taken Abu Bakr as an intimate friend, but he is my brother and my companion in the cave.”
