حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ قَالَ ثنا ابْنُ لهِيعَةَ قَالَ ثنا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو
أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنْ وَقْتِ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّاهَا مِنَ الْغَدِ فَأَسْفَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَيْنَ السَّائِلُ؟» فَقَالَ أَنَا فَقَالَ «الْوَقْتُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ أَمْسِ وَالْيَوْمِ»

✧ A man asked the Prophet ﷺ about the time of the dawn prayer. The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed the dawn prayer in the dark, then he prayed it the next day when it was bright. Then he said: “Where is the questioner?” He said: “I am here.” He said: “The time is between yesterday and today.”
