حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ سَالِمٍ الشَّاشِيُّ قَالَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كَيْفَ إِذَا بَقِيتَ فِي حُثَالَةٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ قَدْ مَرِجَتْ عُهُودُهُمْ وَأَمَانَاتُهُمْ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَعْنَاقِهُمْ وَصَارُوا هَكَذَا» وَخَالَفَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ فَقَالَ كَيْفَ الْمَخْرَجُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ «خُذْ بِمَا عَرَفْتَ وَدَعْ مَا أَنْكَرْتَ وَعَلَيْكَ بِخَاصَّةِ نَفْسِكَ وَإِيَّاكَ مِنْ عَوَامِّهِمْ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How will it be when you remain among the dregs of people whose covenants and trusts have become corrupted, whose necks are in disagreement, and they have become like this"—and he separated his fingers. He said, "How is the way out, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Take what you know and leave what you reject, keep to your own self, and beware of their common people."
