حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ نَصْرٍ الصَّائِغُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مكة وَبِهَا ثَلَاثُمِائَةٍ وَثَمَانُونَ صَنَمًا وَفِي يَدِهِ عَصًا فَجَعَلَ يُشِيرُ إِلَيْهَا وَيَقُولُ «جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا» فَتَسَاقَطُ الْأَصْنَامُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered Makkah and in it there were three hundred and eighty idols. In his hand was a staff, and he began pointing at them and saying: “Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed falsehood is bound to vanish.” And the idols fell down.
