حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَالَ صَحِبْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ يُحَدِّثُ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَّا حَدِيثًا وَاحِدًا قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ شَجَرَةً مَثَلُهَا مَثَلُ الرَّجُلِ الْمُسْلِمِ» فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَقُولَ هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا أَنَا أَصْغَرُ الْقَوْمِ فَسَكَتُّ

✧ From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except one hadith. He said: We were with the Prophet ﷺ when he said, "Indeed among trees there is a tree whose likeness is that of the Muslim man." I wanted to say it is the date palm, but I looked and found that I was the youngest of the people, so I remained silent.
