✧ ʿAmr b. Hashim Abu Malik al-Janbi narrated to us, from ʿUbayd Allah b. ʿUmar, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar: A woman used to borrow jewelry in the time of the Prophet ﷺ and then keep it. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Let the woman repent to Allah (Mighty and Sublime) and to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and let her return what she has,” while she was listening. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Stand, O so-and-so, take her hand and cut it off.”
